J-K Chief Minister greets people on Id-e-Milad

Jammu, Apr 10 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad has greeted the people on the twin occasion of Id-e-Milad-un-Nabi and Mahavir Jayanti.

In a message issued here today the Chief Minister highlighted the great principles and teachings of Prophet Mohammad, which taught mankind to seek purity of heart and mind and live a life dedicated to the blessings of Almighty Allah.

He said, ''This holy day reminds as of the deepest love exhibited by great Prophet for mankind. He said as true believers we have to follow footprints of the apostle of God and strive for removing misery disease and poverty from the society.'' In another message, the Chief Minister mentioned the teachings of Lord Mahavira, based on equality, social justice, high ethics and patience, which have withstood the test of time. Mr Azad prayed for peace and prosperity of the people of the state on the occasion.
