I want to make a fresh start with Md. Sporting:Bhowmick

Kolkata, Apr 10 (UNI) Veteran coach Subhash Bhowmick today said he would like to put his past behind and take Mohammedan Sporting to a safe position on the NFL ladder.

''It's a fresh beginning for me. I would like to concentrate on Md. Sporting and not sit back on the laurels we attained for East Bengal,'' he told reporters at an impromptu press meet here.

''This is a big challenge for me and I love challenges. I am not doing anything exceptional. Amal Dutta, P K Banerjee did it several times in the past and Biswajit Bhattacharya is doing the same with Mohan Bagan now,'' he said.

For Bhowmick his first task by his own admission is to see the condition of the players and their fitness and also assess their skill and stamina.

Asked if he would be able to readjust himself, Bhowmick said, ''initially I was very demoralised. But now I know what is what and I will fight it out. There would be no problem in gaining my players' confidence,'' he added.

Asked to comment on Md. Sporting's lack of sponsors, he said in the past I have gone out to get sponsor for my former club and if necessary I will do the same again.'' UNI BA PL PDS VC2032
