Heat wave condition prevails in several parts of India

Pune, Apr 10 (UNI) Heat wave conditions prevailed in some parts of south Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, east Rajasthan, north Chattisgarh and Telangana. Hot day conditions also prevailed in some parts of north Madhya Pradesh.

Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in Jharkhand, Uttaranchal, west Rajasthan and in some parts of north Madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha and Rayalseema and were above normal in Orissa, north Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Gujrat, south madhya Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. They were markedly below normal in Jammu and Kashmir and were appreciably below normal in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim and were below normal in Assam and Meghalaya, Gangetic West Bengal and Bihar. They were normal over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal and Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttraanchal Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Chattisgarh, Telangana, interior Karnataka, Andaman and Nicobar islands. Mainly dry weather will prevail over Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Marathwada, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalseema, Tamil Nadu, coastal Karnataka and Lakshawdeep.

Very light rain have occurred at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, and coastal Karnataka.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Assam and Meghalaya and at a few places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Andaman and Nicobar islands.
