Goodyear to invest Rs 80 cr in Aurangabad plant
New Delhi, Apr 10 (UNI) Goodyear India Ltd today announced its plans to invest Rs 80 crore this year to increase its Aurangabad facility's capacity by 25 per cent.
''India is an important market for Goodyear. The investment of Rs 80 crore in the Aurangabad plant would help increase the plant capacity by 25 per cent,'' Chairman and Managing Director (India and South Asia) Antonio Capellini said.
The company also plans to open 42 outlets in the country under its branded retail programme by the year end, a company statement said.
The 25 per cent increase in capacity would put Goodyear in position to capitalise on the rapidly expanding Indian market, the release added.
The company designs, develops, manufactutres tyres, engineered rubber products and chemicals in more than 28 countries.
