DMK renominates seven sitting MLAs

Chennai, Apr 10 (UNI) The DMK today renominated seven sitting MLAs to contest next month's Assembly elections in the Union Territory of Pondicherry.

DMK had inked a pact with the ruling Congress yesterday to contest 11 seats in the Union Territory.

Releasing the list of 10 candidates, the DMK has renominated S P Sivakumar (Raj Bhavan), DMK Pondicherry unit Convener R V Janakiraman (Nellithope), A M H Nazim (Karaikal North), Dr M A S Subramanian (Mudaliarpet), V M C Sivakumar (Niravi), R Siva (Orleanpet) and Anibal Kennedy (Bussy).

The Party has fielded U C Arumugam at Oupplam, Nanda D Saravanan at Muthailpet and A Krishnan at Mannadipet.

The candidate for the Ossudu (reserved) constituency would be announced later, a DMK release said here.
