District admn announces ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh to victims' kin

Meerut, Apr 10 (UNI) Meerut district administration has announced an ex-gratia of Rs two lakhs for the families of each of the victims of the devastating fire, which swept through a trade exhibition here this evening.

The families of each of the grieviously injured will get Rs 50,000 while those with minor injuries will get Rs 25,000 each.

A magisterial inquiry has ordered into the tragedy.

District Magistrate Ram Kishan told UNI that more than 40 bodies had already reached the mortuary.

The authorities have constituted ten-member teams of doctors, which are visiting various hospitals to provide treatment to the injured.
