CPI criticises Jaya for her remarks on conspiracy
Chennai, Apr 10: CPI National Secretary D Raja has criticised AIADMK Supremo and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa for her remarks that the opposition parties were hatching a conspiracy to instigate violence to get the elections postponed.
Launching the CPI's campaign for the May 8 Assembly polls at a public meeting here last night, he said Ms Jayalalithaa's remarks, charging the opposition only showed that ''defeat psychosis'' has gripped her.
Alleging that the ruling AIADMK had failed in all fronts, Mr Raja claimed that the economic growth of the State had gone down, leading to increase in unemployement and poverty rate.
On Ms Jayalalithaa's oft-repeated allegation that the Union Ministers from Tamil Nadu did little for the welfare of the State, Mr Raja accused her of not utilising the services of 39 MPs from the State to secure more welfare and development projects.
