Chargesheet filed against Lalu's brother-in-law

Patna, Apr 10 (UNI) Bihar State Vigilance Bureau today filed a chargesheet against RJD MP Anirudh Prasad Yadav alias Sadhu Yadav before Special Vigilance Judge Ram Niwas Prasad in connection with the multi-crore rupees flood relief scam.

The case relates to misappropriation of funds of more than Rs 13 crore meant for distribution of relief among flood victims of north Bihar in 2004.

According to the charges, Rs 6 lakh was transferred in the bank account of Mr Yadav from the account of Santosh Jha, the kingpin of the flood relief scam. Mr Yadav is the brother of former Chief Minister Rabri Devi.

His name did not figure in the FIR in connection with the flood relief scam. However, the Vigilance Bureau established his complicity in the case during investigation.

Recently the RJD MP had been granted bail by Patna High Court till the filing of the chargesheet against him in this connection.
