4 of family commit suicide

Jind, Apr 10 (UNI) A woman allegedly poisoned her two minor sons and killed herself by consuming insecticide shortly after her nephew committed suicide following a scolding by her in Bhosla village of Jind district of Haryana.

Bimla scolded her nephew Sandip (22), whom she had brought up ever since his mother died 20 years ago, after he beat up his father Ompal over a petty issue this morning. Anguished by her scolding, Sandip killed himself by consuming insecticide.

Overwhelmed by guilty conscience, Bimla administered the insecticide to both her sons--Amit (10) and Ankit (12) and consumed the same herself.

The woman died on the spot while her two sons were taken to a local hospital where they were declared brought dead.

Meanwhile, a 14-year-old girl today committed suicide in Manohar village of the district by consuming a poisonous drug after she failed in the Class eight examination recently.
