3 engineering students from Kerala drowned
Margao, Apr 10 (UNI) Three engineering students from Kerala drowned when they went for a swim at the Calangute beach here this afternoon.
Police said the students, from the Kottayam-based Gith Engineering College, had come to Goa and had put up at the Konkan Railway guest house here.
Four students went for a swim at the Calangute beach this afternoon but were swept away by a strong wave. One of them was rescued by a foreigner tourists at the beach.
Bodies of the three students were recovered and they have been identified as Ansar Baqr (21), P M Thomas (19) and Bobbin Mathew (19).
