UNLF stresses need of inquiry into Churachandpur rape incident

Imphal, Apr 9 (UNI) The United National Liberation Front (UNLF) has stressed the need of a probe into the alleged rape of 21 women in Churachandpur district by some international organisation.

The UNLF said International Committee of Red Cross should be approached to find out the truth behind this incident.

It came down heavily against those organisations which were opposing any inquiry.

UNLF blamed some organisations were politicising the matter.

The organisation claimed none of its cadres were involved in the incident.

Meanwhile, the state government had made arrangements for the the team of Rajkhowa Commission to visit the district and inquire into the incident for nine days.
