Militants killed three members of family in Udhampur

Jammu, Apr 9 (UNI) Unidentified militants shot dead three members of a family at Challad village under Arnas tehsil in Udhampur district official sources said here today.

A group of militants entered the house of Assadullah in Challad village last night and shot Assdullah Mohammad (55), his brother Ghulam Mohammad (60) and his wife Rasheeda Begum (52) the official sources added.

Sources said it had been suspected that the trio were informers of security forces and that they had been tortured before they were shot at. Hearing the commotion, neighbours rushed to the house and found all three dead.

Police said a search operation was launched in the area to track down the militants responsible for the act. No arrests has been made so far in the case. More detail is awaited.
