Joint team of CRPF and SSB to patrol on Indo-Nepal border

Muzaffarpur, Apr 9 (UNI) A joint team of SSB and CRPF has been constituted to keep surveillance on the Indo-Nepal border in Bihar to thwart any attempt of the Maoists to enter into Bihar from Nepal.

DIG of Seema Shasatra Bal(SSB) S K Jha said that the decision in this regard had been taken at a high level meeting convened to review the security arrangement following the Maoists attack at Malangwa village of Nepal on April 6.

According to reports, a cluster of Maoist activists of Nepal was hovering in the border areas to enter into Bihar to take shelter following the crackdown in Nepal, he told mediapersons here yesterday.

Mr Jha said that 'high alert' had been sounded along the 800 km of the Indo-Nepal order. Special vigil was being maintained to discourage any attempt of Nepalese Maoists to seek medical treatment in hospitals and nursing homes in the bordering areas, he said.
