Four live bombs recovered from abandonded well in Mandarki village

Rajkot, Apr 9 (UNI) Four live bombs were recovered from an abandoned well today on the outskirts of Mandarki village in Maliya Miyana taluka of the district.

Maliya Miyana in-charge police inspector R K Kotwal and his staff immediately rushed to the spot. They were accompanied by experts from Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) and bomb disposable squad, Rajkot rural control room here said.

Preliminary investigation stated that the four live bombs were recovered from near Maliya Miyana where, military jawans took firing practices, police said.

However, Rajkot bomb squad member Ashokbhai Patel informed UNI that the bombs commonly used in military operations, were found in an abandoned well. The bombs have been defused by the squad.
