Five people die, thirty injured in mishaps in Orissa

Bhubaneswar, Apr 9 (UNI) At least five people were killed and 30 injured in three separate road accidents in Puri-Bhubaneswar-Cuttack highway today, police said.

A bus with 50 passengers overturned at Pahala on the busy Cuttack-Bhubaneswar highway. Two persons died on the spot and 20 got injured.

Doctors at the SCB medical college Cuttack described the condition of at least six serious.

A bus rammed into a roadside shop at Manguli near Cuttack killing two persons. Another five escaped with injuries and were being treated at Cuttack.

At Virgobindpur village on the Bhubaneswar-Puri highway a taxi carrying six collided with another vehicle early today.

One died on the spot and five were rushed to hospital, police said.
