Bandh called to protest kidnapping of drivers in Nagaland

Imphal, Apr 9 (UNI) The Joint Action Committee (JAC) formed to inquire into disappearance of a driver and his nephew from Nagaland, today decided to call a general strike in Manipur on April 15.

The JAC said a truck had entered Dimapur in Nagaland on January 24 was taken into custody by the NSCN(IM), the All Manipur Drivers and Motor Workers Union informed.

However, the two persons could not be traced.

Members of the Union went to Nagaland to inquire about the incident.

Sit in protests were organised in different parts of Manipur to demand safe release of the two persons.
