36 calves, two bulls seized from illegal slaughterhouse in Guj

Anand, Apr 9 (UNI) Two bulls, 36 calves and 600 kg meat were seized from an illegal slaughter house in Bhalej village during a raid early this morning.

Three persons - Abdul Karim Quereshi, Suleman Hussain Quereshi and Yusuf Ismail Quershi have been arrested in this connection, police said.

Acting on a tip-off, a police team from Umreth raided the slaughter house and made these seizures, alongwith three loading vehicles. Total value of these seizures amount to Rs 1.70 lakh, police added.

The owner of the slaughterhouse Sikandar Quereshi however, managed to flee alongwith four accomplices, police said.
