Eighteen Bangladeshis with cattle heads arrested in S Dinajpur
Balurghat, West Bengal, Apr 8 (UNI) About eighteen Bangladeshi smugglers after crossing Kumargram border with 80 pairs of cattle heads, were arrested last night, BSF sources said today.
Local people of Kumargram alleged they lived in fear as looters and smugglers from across the boder often raided the Indian territory and loot people.
Kumargram, a remote village of this South Dinajpur district bordering Bangladesh, is the pilgrim of pilferers, they alleged.
On February six, in broad day light, some Bangladeshi anti-socials kidnapped Ashim Sarkar (19), an Indian farmer of Kumargram village from his land when he was cultivating.
Four days after the flag-march between BSF and BangladeshRefiles (BDR), the boy was rescued.
