Day temp stays markedly above normal in most parts of India
Pune, Apr 8 (UNI) Heat wave conditions prevailed in Rajasthan and in some parts of east Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Telangana.
Day tempratures were markedly above normal in Jammu and Kashmir and were appreciably above normal in Jharkhand, west Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Vidarbha, Tamil Nadu and in some parts of madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradeh, Rayalseema and were above normal in Orissa, Gujrat, Marahtawada, south interior Karnataka and Kerala. They were appreciably to markedly below normal in Assam and Meghalaya and Sub-Himayalan West Bengal and Sikkim. They were normal over the rest of the country.
Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal and Sikkim and at isolated places in Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, north Rajasthan, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalseema, and Andaman and Nicobar Islands and mainly dry weather will prevail over Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, south Rajasthan, Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.
Rain or thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Assam and Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim and at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Orissa.
