Police prohibits use of torch light in Delhi for 60 days
New Delhi, Apr 7 (UNI) Police has prohibited carrying of torch light in rallies, processions or functions across the national capital from April 10 for a period of 60 days to maintain peace.
Police Commissioner K K Paul, in an order, said there was information that some people or groups may indulge in activities prejudicial to maintenance of peace in Delhi and endanger life and property of citizens.
The prohibitory orders will remain in force till June 8 unless withdrawn earlier.
Any person contravening the order will be punishable under Section 188 of the IPC.
