Top N.Korea official allowed to visit Japan: Source
Tokyo, Apr 6: North Korea's chief negotiator for six-party talks on Pyongyang's nuclear arms programme has been granted permission to visit Japan to attend a forum on security issues next week, a source in Tokyo with close ties to Pyongyang said today.
North Korean Vice Foreign Minister Kim Kye-gwan would join representatives of all countries taking part in the six-party talks, and the visit could be a chance to persuade Pyongyang to return to the negotiations, last held in November in Beijing.
US chief negotiator Christopher Hill is expected to arrive in Tokyo on Monday for separate talks with representatives from Japan and South Korea, a US embassy spokesman said on Tuesday.
