NTPC's Koldam hydro power project bags Golden Safety Award

New Delhi, Apr 5 (UNI) NTPC's Koldam Hydro Power Project today bagged the Golden Safety Award at the National Safety Council of India.

The award, under the construction safety category, was given for developing and implementing the most effective safety and health management systems and procedures.

The Award was presented by Minister of State for Labour Chandra Shekhar Sahu at a function here.

NTPC-Rihand was also awarded Prashansa Patra for maintaining high standards of safety.

The 800 MW Koldam is the first hydro project of NTPC on river Satluj near Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh.
