Bellary, Apr 5 (UNI) Automobile major, Hyundai Motors India Limited (HMIL), proposed to set up its second plant with a capacity to produce three lakh units per annum to raise its total production capacity to six lakh per annum by 2007.

Informing this to newspersons after inaugurating the state-of-the-art Hyundai showroom on Hospet road here today, HMIL Vice-President (Marketing and Sales) Arvind Saxena said the continuous growth in production of cars had prompted the company to draw plans for further increasing the capacity.

He said HMIL also planned to expand its dealer network by increasing it to 200 this year from the present 157. It's service network would also be enhanced to over 1,000 this year, he added.

Stating that Karnataka was a major market for HMIL, Mr Saxena said the company had decided to improve its dealership network in the state and were making all arrangements in this regard.
