Day temperatures rise in Orissa, Jharkhand, J

Pune, Apr 5: Day tempratures were appreciably above normal in north Orissa, Jharkhand, Jammu and Kashmir, north Rajasthan, east Madhya Pradesh, north Chattisgarh and in some parts of Gangetic West Bengal, east Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Madhya Maharashtra, Telangana, Rayalaseema.

It was above normal in Punjab, south Rajasthan, south Chattisgarh, coastal Andhra Pradesh, some parts of Bihar, Haryana, west Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and of Tamil Nadu and in remaining parts of east Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal.

They were markedly below normal in Assam and Meghalaya and in some parts of Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, appreciably below normal in Kutch and in remaining parts of Nagalaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim. They were normal over the rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and at a few places in West Bengal and Sikkim and at isolated places in Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Chattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, interior Karnataka, Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Mainly dry weather prevailed over Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, coastal Karnataka and Lakshadweep.

Heavy rain have occurred at many places in Assam and Meghalaya.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and at isolated places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, south interior Karnataka, Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
