BHELSIA to set up Industrial Estate
Tiruchirapalli, Apr 5: BHEL Small and Medium Industries Association(BHELSIA) will establish a State-of-the art private Industrial Estate at an outlay of Rs 350 crore in Siruganur village on the Chennai-Tiruchirapalli National Highway, about 30 km from here.
Talking to UNI here, Rajappa Rajkumar, President of Bhelsia said the Estate will be established in a sprawling 500 acres of land.
He said the Estate will have basic infrastructure facilities, such as, well laid roads, street lights, drinking water facilities, proper drainage system, recreation club, hospital and a training centre.
Mr Rajkumar said about 40 to 50 Small and Medium industries were likely to be set up in the Estate and depending upon the industries requirements, space allocation will be made between five to ten acres for each industry.
He said the Estate would be in a position to start functioning in a full-fledged manner before the end of this year.
He said Bhelsia has approached the public sector giant, BHEL Tiruchirapalli, for their assistance in providing training for the new force.
The Association anticipated job opportunities for eight to ten thousand people in that area for the new Estate, he said.
We hope to develop this as a ''model estate'' to global standards, he added.
