Auxiliary police raised to contain crime in Bihar
Patna, Apr 5 (UNI) About 2000 retired army personnel have been recruited in the auxiliary police force to check the growing criminal incidents here.
Official sources said here that all the ex-armymen have been appointed on one-year contract. Their services can be extended for another year if their performances were found satisfactory.
State Director General Police Ashish Ranjan Sinha administered the oath to the jawans.
Most of the jawans have retired from the services during the last one month. They have the experience of fighting terrorism in different parts of the country.
