Royal British Legion group visits Kohima cemetery

Kohima, Apr 5: A 32-member Royal British Legion delegation led by Brigadier William Clarke has visited the Kohima war cemetery.

The delegation, along with three war veteran, who had participated in the battle of Kohima during the World War-II, paid homage to the martyrs here yesterday.

Brigadier Clarke, Deputy Inspector General of Assam Rifles Brigadier R L Sharma laid floral wreaths in memory of the martyrs.

The remembrance service was conducted by Rev. Neilezhu Usou, pastor of minister hill Baptist Church.

An official release said the delegation also visited the Kohima battlefield.
