WBPCB orders use of loud speakers after Apr 13

Kolkata, Apr 01 (UNI) West Bengal Pollution Control Board today said loudspeakers could be used only after completion of Higher Secondary examinations on April 13.

In a statutory circular Board's senior law officer Biswajit Mukherjee said the loud speakers could only be used within the sound limit prescribed under Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules 2000.

The loud speakers should not be used within the 100 metres of Silence Zone like hospitals, examination halls, education institutions and court area, the order said.
