RPI(A) demands 10 pc job reservation for minorities
Mumbai, Apr 1 (UNI) Republican Party of India (A) president Ramdas Athavale today demanded that minorities be given 10 per cent reservation in education and jobs and urged the Centre and the State government to take steps in this regard.
In a release issued here today, Mr Athavale said minorities should also have reservation in the Army.
He said while RPI(A) is launching a separate wing of minorities which will be headed by Mr Amanula Khan, a statewide convention of Muslims will also be organised on May 3 in Pune where discussion would be held on various problems of the community.
He also said both the majority and minority communities should accept court's verdict on the Babri Masjid issue in Ayodhya.
