Midhani reports Rs 151.4 cr sales turnover, Rs 13.8 cr cash profit

New Delhi, Apr 1 (UNI) The Hyderabad based Mishra Dhatu Nigam Limited (MIDHANI)- a public sector undertaking under the Defence Ministry has achieved higher sales turnover of Rs 151.4 crore with a cash profit of Rs 13.8 crore for the financial year ended March 31, 06.

According to the provisional data released by Chairman and Managing Director MIDHANI Devasis Chowdhury here today, the orderbook position of the company stood at Rs 294 crores.

In a statement issued here today Mr Chowdhury said that the company has taken up a Rs 120 crore modernisation and upgradation plan for its production facility centre with financial assistance from major customers in Space, Defence, Aeronautics and Atomic Energy sectors.

The company has also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Defence Ministry towards acheiving higher economic performance as well as for maintaining the dividend payment to the parent ministry.
