Chief Vigilance Officers for all govt department in J

Jammu, Apr 1 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad today said the state government will appont Chief Vigilance Officer of the rank of Secretary level in each department here with ample powers to look into specific complaints and also take suo-moto actions against malpactices.

Addressing The Legislative Council he said the vigilance oranisation received 15,447 complaints from 2001 to 2005. Out of these 1981 complaints were enquired by state vigilance organisation while others were either dumped or still pending for an enquiry.
