Chairman adjourns Legislative Council sine die

Jammu, Apr 1 (UNI) Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Council Abdul Rashid Dar today adjourned the House sine die which commenced on March 26 with the joint address of Governor Lt Gen S K Sinha.

Speaking on the occasion, he gave brief details of the business conducted in Legislative Council during the month-long budget session. Thanking members of either side, he appreciated the role of Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad in creating a healthy work culture and making proceedings in the Upper House more lively, effective and of public interest.

He also appreciated Transport Minister Mangat Ram Sharma for showing highest degree of patience while replying to volley of queries.

He thanked Information Department, Doordarshan and print and electronic media for up-to-date coverage of the proceedings. He also thanked other government agencies which worked hard and late hours, during the session.
