CCRAS designated as Secretariat of Ayurvedic Pharmacopoeia Committee

New Delhi, Apr 1 (UNI) The government has decided to designate the Central Council for Research in Ayurveda and Siddha (CCRAS) New Delhi as the Secretariat for the Ayurvedic Pharmacopoeia Committee (APC).

Director, CCRAS will be the Member Secretary in place of Adviser Ayurveda who will continue as a Member (Ex-officio) of the APC.

It has been decided that the APC will finalise the pharmacopoeial standards for 100 classical compound Ayurvedic formulations every year and complete the work of laying down of pharmacopoeial standards for classical compound formulations within a period of 3 to 4 years.

Director, CCRAS and Director, Pharmacopoeial Laboratory of Indian Medicine (PLIM), Ghaziabad, shall jointly prepare an action plan for this purpose.
