Bomb threat: Police scan University premises
Thiruvananthapuram, Apr 1: Search was carried out in the Kerala University premises, following an anonymous letter received by the University office that bombs would explode in the office at 1100 hours today.
The letter, threatening the bomb blast, was received by the university Registrar K A Hashim.
On the basis of information by the University authorities, the dog and bomb squad of the Police conducted a throrough search at the offices of the Vice-Chancellor and Controller of Examinations.
However, the bomb threat subsequently proved to be a hoax, as no explosives were found out, police said.
Secuity has been tightened in the university premises followig the threat.
