Agra University exams cancelled due to paper leak; two arrested
Etah, Apr 1 (UNI) The 2005-06 annual examinations in Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar University in Agra have been cancelled and two persons arrested following the leak of two question papers of B Com (III) and B Sc (Previous).
Deputy Police Superintendent (Kasganj) Ashok Kumar Singh said here today the question papers of B Sc (Previous) and B Com (III) examinations slated for yesterday were leaked before the actual examination. Two people have been arrested alongwith the copies of the solved papers, he added.
Following the leak, the examination of the concerned subjects -- Business Administration (B Com III) and Zoology-III (B Sc Previous) -- have been cancelled by the University administration, he said.
Earlier, papers of examinations including B Com paper conducted by the Agra University had been leaked in 2005. An employee of the varsity had committed suicide in this connection while a criminal case was pending against the University vice-chancellor and two others, Mr Singh said.
The paper of the premier Combined Pre Medical Test (CPMT) organised by the same university in 2005 was also leaked and its solved copies were seized by the Special Task Force of Uttar Pradesh Police from the state capital on the eve of the examination day,he added.
Mr Singh said the involvement of varsity staff in B Com and B Sc papers leak could not be ruled out.
