16-year-old killed, 5 others injured as bus climbs pavement

New Delhi, Apr 1 (UNI) A 16-year-old boy was killed in Kashmere Gate area of North Delhi this evening after a Blueline bus grazed the pavement injuring several others.

While Surendra, who was standing on the pavement, was crushed to death by the bus, five others were injured and have been admitted to the Trauma Centre for injuries, said area DCP Sunil Garg.

''The Blueline bus, running on route number 347 (Noida to ISBT), has been seized though the driver is absconding.'' We will arrest him soon, he said.

The acccident took place at about 1700 hrs near Nigambodh Ghat under Kashmre Gate police station.
