Ahmedabad, Mar 31 (UNI) Gujarat Businessmen's Protection Council has called a ''Gujarat Bandh'' tomorrow, coinciding with the enforcement of VAT in the State, to protest against ''stringent provisions'' of the Act.

Council vice-president Jayendra Tanna, in a statement here today, claimed the ''bandh'' has the support of traders' organisations of plywood, stationary, automobile, and hardware, garments manufacturers and edible oils and iron and steel merchants.

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Gujarat Council, meanwhile, has hailed the implementation of VAT in the State from tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the Gujarat Government today announced inclusion of over 200 goods as ''industrial inputs''.
