Robbery at astrologer's home, four robbers nabbed

Bhavnagar, Mar 31 (UNI) A noted city-based noted astrologer, Yusufkhan Alikhan Baluch was robbed of cash and valuables worth Rs 1.95 lakh by a gang of six to eight miscreants, from his residence in Bore-Talao area of the city early today.

However, police managed to nab four of the gangsters after sealing all the exit points of the Bhavnagar tehsil and partly recovered the booty from them later in the morning.

According to police, the gang barged into the house of Baluch at around 0200 hrs and after tying the astrologer and his wife, took away Rs 60,000 in cash and gold ornaments worth Rs 1.35 lakh.

The family informed the police immediately following which police traced four of the robbers in the nearby Chamardi village when they were trying to escape in a car.

The four accused have been identified as Kiran Singh, Raju Singh, Manmeet Singh and Bachchan Singh.

An intensive search has been launched to nab their other aides, police added.
