PPC World wide to start employee assistance programme in India

Bangalore, Mar 31 (UNI) PPC Worldwide, a leading global provider of Employee Assistance Programme formally launched its India operations to offer Employee Assistance programme to global employers in the country.

PPC Worldwide founder and CEO Carl Tisone told newsmen here that the company had already signed up three clients in Bangalore and would slowly extend its arm to other parts of the country including Delhi, Mumbai and Hyderabad.

Present in over 100 countries, PPC Worldwide provided counseling support and information helplines to employees across all sectors and locations and covered nearly 1.5 million employees.

Mr Tisone said '' there is willingness among employers and employees to seek advice and support on a wide range of issues to improve their efficiency and productivity''. Indians today were tackling many of the issues that were presently witnessed in the West. However some of them are unique to the region and PPC would put in place best in class Employee asssitance programmes that would addres the needs of Indian workplace from the global perspective.

These programmes included counselling and support, work and life enhancement services, HR and Manager support services and critical incident intervention besides HIV and AIDS support line.

Those who had signed up with PPC included Ness Technologies, Aspect Technology Centre and the British Government's Department for International Development.

Welcoming PPC Worldwide, NASSCOM President Kiran Karnik said the move would help build stronger companies as PPC worldwide brought a high level of professional capability and international experience.

As the Indian IT industry continued to grow, one of its biggest challenge was to keep employees satisfied and highly motivated.

Providing wide ranging support services to employees would play an increasingly important role in ensuring motivation and job satisfaction, he added.
