ONGC leads Indian corporates in Forbes Global

New Delhi, Mar 31 (UNI) Oil major ONGC leads 33 Indian companies in Forbes magazine's coveted list of top 2000 corporate titans in the world.

ONGC has improved its position to 256 (from 265) in the Forbes latest list.

ONGC is followed by Reliance Industries, State Bank of India, Indian Oil Corporation and others.

The newly listed Indian corporates are mostly in banking and software sectors.

Globally, Citigroup topped the list, followed by General Electric, Bank of America, American International Group, HSBC group, ExxonMobil, Royal Dutch/Shell group, BP, J P Morgan and UBS.

The list ranks companies based on a composite score of sales, profits, assets and market value.
