New Delhi, Mar 31 (UNI) Lok Janshakti Party President Ram Vilas Paswan today said his party would launch a campaign against the NDA government in Bihar for failing to take any action for the development of the state or improving law and order situation.

Mr Paswan told reporters here that he would hold a rally in Patna on August 9 to highlight that the state government has failed to do anything concrete for development of the state despite announcing various projects.

The LJP alongwith parties which had supported it during the recent Rajya Sabha polls in the state would launch a joint front against the government in the state assembly, Mr Paswan said.

This would help it in preparing an alternative before the next assembly polls, he added.

The party had feilded its own candidate for the Rajya Sabha polls despite having only ten votes as it did not want to support either NDA or RJD in the state, he said.

He said his candidate got 23 votes as various parties like CPI, CPI(ML), Samajwadi Party, one BSP MLA etc supported him.

However, the RJD launched a propoganda against the LJP that it had sought support of NDA. The NDA also gave similar indication despite the LJP not even asking for any support. All this was done to misguide the people, he said.

Asked about the LJP's stand on office of profit, Mr Paswan said the BJP has double standard on this. ''Isnside they (BJP) agree while shout against it outside as was evident from the fact that its MLAs from Jharkhand were shifted to Rajasthan,'' he said and added that the double face of the BJP should be exposed on this issue.

The National Advisory Council should remain in existence as an advisory body giving policy directions to the UPA goverment, Mr Paswan said.

Ms Sonia Gandhi has done a lot of sacrifice and the people who question that have no ground, he added.

The BJP has no candidate to field against Ms Gandhi and it was depending on Uma Bharti to give a candidate, he said.

Mr Paswan's advice to rebel BJP leaders Uma Bharti and M L Khurana was to finish the BJP. ''Saanp ko chhero mat, aur chher diya to chhoro mat (not disturb the snake and having done so not leave it alive). They should fight to finish,'' he noted.

On this occasion, Mr Paswan announced the names of nine candidates the party would fielding in West Bengal. He said negotiation with the Congress was still on the issue of tenth seat that the LJP get to fight the polls in alliance with the Congress.

He also announced the names of seven candidates for Kerala and twelve candidates for Assam where party is going alone for the polls. Mr Paswan said he would be holding a number of election rallies at various places in support of his party candidates.
