K'taka govt to honour 72 police personnel

Bangalore, Mar 31 (UNI) Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) M D Basannavar and Sub-Inspector N Arun Kumar, who was killed recently in a road mishap in the city, were among the 72 police personnel selected for the Karnataka Chief Minister's Medal for the year 2005.

The awards--40 gold, 19 silver and 13 bronze medals--would be distributed at a function on April two after the Flag Day Parade, according to official sources.
