Fire destroys SBI ATM counter in Orissa
Cuttack, Mar 31 (UNI) An ATM counter of State Bank of India (SBI) at the College square here was completely destroyed in a fire following an electrical short circuit.
SBI sources said they had kept Rs 13.80 lakhs in the ATM counter today and all the currency burnt to ashes in the fire. The building.
the machine and the airconditioner installed inside the ATM counter were also destroyed in the fire.
Police said though the fire tenders reached the spot within few minutes of being informed about the accident but by the time they arrived at the counter, everything was burnt to ashes.
The incident caused panic in the area for sometime. The Bank authority have ordered an investigation into the accident.
