CRPF Assistant commandant among 6 injured in Kashmir mine blast
Srinagar, Mar 31 (UNI) A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) officer and four jawans were among six persons injured in a landmine blast at Soura on the outskirts of the city today.
Official sources said militants today triggered a powerful Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted on main road at Soura at 1130 hrs.
A CRPF vehicle was damaged in the blast, sources said, adding Assistant Commandant Abdul Rashid and four jawans besides a civilian were injured in the explosion.
The sound of the blast was heard in the entire down town.
The entire area has been cordoned off and a massive hunt launched to nab the militants reponsible for causing the blast.
Meanwhile, Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) has claimed the responsibility for the blast.
A caller who identified himself spokesman of the outfit claimed six security personnel were killed in the blast.
