BMC demolishes 1,650 illegal huts in Mumbai
Mumbai, Mar 31 (UNI) In a massive cleanliness drive, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) today demolished 1,650 huts and other structures which were built on footpath and roadsides in all 24 wards of the corporation.
BMC spokesperson Dadasaheb Shivajak said during the last four days, the corporation has demolished over 5,000 illegal structures, with the help of local police personnel.
A major demolition today took place in A, B, F-South and F-North wards, he added.
