3766 families affected due to border fencing in J

Jammu, Mar 31 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Government today stated about 3766 families have been affected by the border fencing and said their compensation cases are under process.

This was stated by the Minister for Consumer affairs and public distrribution, Mohammad Hakim Yasin on behalf of Revenue Minister in reply to a question by T S wazir in Legislative Council.

He said 3766 families have been affected and 14,939 kanals of land has been occupied by para-military forces in border aras. No rent is being paid to the afffected families as the cases are under acquisition proceedings.
