Nine-year-old kidnapped from Jaipur's posh colony

Jaipur, Mar 29 (UNI) A nine-year-old child was abducted from a posh colony in Jaipur the police said.

The abducted child is son of an employee of a private company and was kidnapped from the affluent Vaishali Nagar area of the city yesterday. The child is a student of Step By Step School.

The kidnapper is supposed to have asked for a ransom of Rs 25 lakh. However, the family members are denying the ransom amount.

According to the sources, the child had gone to a nearby puncture shop to get his cycle repaired around 1830hrs in the evening. But he had not reached the shop.

When he failed to return, his family members searched for him the entire evening. Later they lodged an FIR at the police station.

The police was, however, not ready to reveal further details.
