Guj Assembly speaker adjourns House as oppn leaders remain absent

Gandhinagar, Mar 29 (UNI) Gujarat Legislative Assembly Speaker Managaldas Patel today adjourned the House sine die, during the absence of the Opposition Congress members who had staged walkout this afternoon in protest against the ''anti-poor'' policy of the BJP government.

The Budget Session of the House had begun on February 23.

During this session, the state budget for the year 2006-07 was presented by Chief Miniser Narendra Modi and several other bills were also presented.
