New Delhi, Mar 29 (UNI) A city court today extended till March 31, the police custody of one of the four accused in the case of illegal tapping of Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh's telephone.

Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Kawaljeet Arora extended the accused, Bhupendra's custody as police wanted to interrogate him further.

Police sought more time to ascertain from Bhupendra the names of other two Airtel mobile service customers, whose phones they were tapping.

The Court had yesterday sent him into police custody till today.

It also postponed the bail hearing of Vijay Dhawan, another accused, to March 31.

Meanwhile, police also filed a second FIR in the case.

On January 27, the court had granted permission to Special Cell of Delhi Police to take specimen signature of one more accused-- Kuldeep, a Reliance Infocomm employee -- in the case.

The city police had claimed that the interrogation of Vijay Dhawan, in the case, who surrendered before the police on January 16, had revealed that Kuldeep had forged the numbers on the letters that were used as an authority to tap the phones.

Four people -- private detectives Bhupendra, Anurag, Vijay Dhawan and Kuldeep -- had been arrested in the case.
