Sugar prices rise on reduced stock supply
Navi Mumbai, Mar 28 (UNI) Sugar prices rose on increased fresh demand, traders in the sugar market here said today.
The rates of small and medium grades went up by Rs five and Rs ten per quintal, respectively, on better buying support.
The rates of ex-mill, small and medium grades hiked by Rs 10 each per quintal, respectively, on heavy demand from retailers.
Following were the sugar spot rates per quintal: Small grade Rs 1,820/1,860, medium grade Rs 1,850/1,905.
Ex-mill small grade Rs 1,800/1,830 and medium grade Rs 1,840/1,860.
